In 1999, after making the decision to leave a career in the
computer industry and follow my dream of becoming a full-time
Firefighter, I realized that I would have a quite a bit of free time to
work on my other interest of owning my own business. As a
teenager I had spent my summers working on lawns and
landscaping projects, and mowing grass. I had always enjoyed
mowing my parents lawn and turned that interest into a rewarding
summer job.
For years I had tried to understand how contractors in all areas of
the service industry survived based on their complete lack of
customer focus. Many fail to show up for scheduled appointments
and if they do, they were late. Few actually answer their phone, let
alone returned phone calls. These were just the experiences I was
having, and they helped me formulate my business philosophy. I
decided that my business would always be limited to only the
number of customers that I could deal with directly. I wanted to
provide personal service from beginning to end.
These days my customers get me when they call the business, or
they get a returned call as soon as possible when they do leave a
message. I call my regular customers from time to time just to
check in and make sure they are happy with my work. I make sure
that they are getting what they pay for and what they want.
Over the years I have slowly grown the business while still
maintaining the same level of direct contact with my customers. I
have added snow removal and ice control. I have also developed
good working relationships with other service providers that I myself
use. This has allowed me to offer more inclusive services offerings.
I am proud to serve residential and commercial customers
throughout the southern Dayton area.
